The New Orleans Comedy Festival

Stand-up comedy is BACK!!!! And by that I don't mean back in New Orleans. I mean the art form is making a come back in a big way.  The emergence of "alternative comedy" has given rise to such new greats as Paul F. Thompkins, Jimmy Pardo, Demitri Martin, and Mitch Hedberg (R.I.P we miss him so).

Long gone are the days of, "what is up with airline food?" and half-assed impressions of Jack Nicholson. This has been replaced with more personal accounts of living in the post 9/11, post Bush, online era that has changed so much of how our lives are lived.  Comedians can be honest about real life experiences and they no longer have to prattle on about the banal issues that plagued 80s era comedy. It's a new style of comedy that hits home with listeners and creates a much more pleasing experience.  It is truly a great time to be a fan of Comedy!!!

The Howlin Wolf is proud to celebrate the resurgence of Comedy with the New Orleans Comedy Festival on Thursday January 28th and Friday January 29th.  The first night will feature Josh Cheney, Ron Ferguson, Bill Chott, Sean Patton, and Leo Allen.  The evening will be hosted by Yvonne Landry.  The second night will feature Jeff Kluger, James Adomian, Mia Jackson, Sean Patton, and Leo Allen. This night will be hosted By Jodi Borello.

Both nights are shaping up to be incredibly funny nights in New Orleans.  So come on out and have have a laugh at the New Orleans Comedy Festival.

Here's a couple of the featured performers doing there thing!!!
