The Knux

We here at the Wolf love a good New Orleans artist success story, and The Knux are just that. The two brothers Kentrell "Krispy Kream" and Alvin "Rah Almillio" Lindsey came up through the New Orleans hip hop scene like so many others, and they only managed to record a demo before the tragedy of Katrina force them to escape to Houston.

Katrina, however, turned out to be a blessing in disguise because while they were evacuated their demo managed to make it into the hands of an influential A&R rep Dart Parker. Shortly thereafter the brothers were on their way to Hollywood to begin production of their first album. Being in Hollywood got them the attention that they deserved, and also got a song featured on the show Entourage and the movie Harold and Kumar Go To Guantanamo.

Now with an awesome CD in hand, and a reputation for putting on killer shows, the Knux are coming back to New Orleans as hometown heroes for a night at The Howlin Wolf New Orleans.

The show is on Thursday, Sept 3 and is not to be missed. So come on out and welcome home two of Nola's prodigal sons!!
